VPI Transformer-Vacuum Pressure Impregnated

 

Vacuum Pressure Impregnated (VPI) transformers are alternatives to liquid insulated and cast resin transformers.

 

This technique involves impregnating the transformer with polyester or epoxy resin under a vacuum atmosphere, so that air bubbles,dust and small particles are substituted with dielectric resin. The subsequent polymerization in oven, through controlled thermal cycles, solidifies conductor materials, insulation and resin in a single piece, to attain superior mechanical and electrical characteristics.

Product Features

High and low voltage winding insulation materials is used Nomex and many times by VPl vacuum pressure impregnation equipment,advanced agent-free varnish,external high-intensity H-class insulation seal and high temperature curing,operating conditions to ensure that no local discharges.

Transformer winding mechanical strength,thermal conditions are good (high and low voltage coils are used above 200℃ in long-term use of Nomex insulation) of the continuous structure,to avoid the multi-layer cylindrical coil voltage is high,poor heat dissipation,easy to thermal breakdown and the shortcomings of low mechanical strength,thereby improving product reliability.
